The Losers

      WOW!!
What a movie... An unbelievable military story, full of action, betrayal, blood, and bullets!! Did I mention great acting? I should have, because the acting was pretty damn good considering.... Considering Peter Berg wrote this story, only to be purchased by Warner Bros. Whose obvious Ad lib, destroyed this movie into becoming a JOKE. This is a muSt SEE. I found myself doubting that I could possibly be watching such a cinematic disaster!

This story follows a CIA black ops team, that is tracking Max (Jason Patric). Only known as "Max"... Max, is some sort of, high ranking official, gone rogue. So.... after being left for dead, this so called "death squad", is out for revenge throughout the film.

There is also a bit of comedy that was thrown into this flick. What I mean is... They tried to be funny in a movie that had no room for humor-I literally felt sorry for any poor bastard that had anything to do with this movie! This movie makes 'Four Brothers' look OSCAR worthy... Seriously, If you find yourself liking this flick... you must have the personality of a snail.

After ripping this movie a new ass, I do recommend you see it.... You gotta! As far as "farm fresh" eggs... Sorry, no eggs for this one. As a matter of a fact, I would want my money back! Enjoy!!

(this film is based on a comic book series-no excuse, it still sucks!)

Blue Valentine 2010

This film was recommended to me by a friend that knows me all too well. "It's a good movie-not my favorite, so don't get your hopes up-but I'm sure you will like that it's not the typical uplifting story with the traditional ending...." Great recommendation! Written, and directed by the same-Derek Cianfrance-This film follows Cindy (Michelle Williams), and Dean (Ryan Gosling) through their trials of falling in, and out of love, while raising a daughter. Jumping back, and forth from current day, to when they first met.... A very touching, emotional roller coaster-I'm sure anyone can relate to that has fallen in-love, or has lost. A stellar performance from Gosling (Remember the Titans, The Notebook, Lars and the Real Girl) , and very believable Williams (Dawson's Creek, Shutter Island, and Brokeback Mountain). I'll say "great" film rather than wonderful, because their is nothing happy about this movie-but I believe you must experience emotion, to know emotion... and you will "feel" this movie. I give this one 12 eggs-thanks for the recommendation... Loved it!!

HACHI

This review is dedicated to a friend of mine who just recently lost his best friend, Lulu... She will be greatly missed.

Where it seems all pet/animal movies trace the love we have for our beloved companions.... That's where this film stands alone. Looking thru the eyes of HACHI, we see the love, dedication, and patience this dog had for his master.

When professor Parker Wilson (Richard Gere) stumbles across a stray puppy akita (Hachi) at the train station, He and his family, despite the hesitance from his wife Cate (Joan Allen) decide to share their home with Hachi. Hachi walks with his master to the train station every morning, and greets the professor every evening at the train station when he returns from work. Creating a huge bond between friends,a very loving, and dedicated companion. Based on a true story out of Japan, a very heartwarming... "Dog tale"... Great for all ages, enjoy! Thanks Todd, I was due for a good cry.

93. The French Connection

Although I liked this gritty crime based drama, I can't help but think of all the movies I would have in this TOP 100 list. Gene Hackman, and Roy Scheider are paired up as NYC cops in the narcotic bureau, trying to make their BIG bust. It's an older film of course (1971), but well worth the time... Hackman is amazing as usual, a very overlooked actor. My first time seeing this one, you should make the time, and check it out. 8 farm fresh eggs!! enJoy!

94. PULP FICTION

This list is about to get real exciting!! This film in particular, is in my personal TOP 20. Talk about a well rounded movie.... it opens and closes in the same place. I am not really sure what could be said, that hasn't been said already. Tarantino... in my opinion, is a cinematic genius. Groundbreaking storytelling... This movie follows a couple hit-men, Vincent Vega (john travolta) and Jules Winnfield (samuel l. jackson) thru this epic modern crime drama. The dialogue alone will keep you grossly entertained! Be warned, this is not a family film, nor is it for everyone. As far as a movie experience... Stylish, Smart, Brilliant! If you haven't seen it, SEE IT!! If you have, SEE IT AGAIN! A dozen eggs... easy! Thanks Quint!

95. The Last Picture Show (1971)

Still trying to figure out what is so special about this film that it made the AFI's top 100. Great cast, and the fact that it was done in B&W was cool, but that's it!! The acting didn't even stand-out. BORING! I realize this is another negative review, but I am so looking forward to all of the movies on the list... this one just plain sucks! This film made my list of "movies that i do not recommend!" I'll give up 1 egg for the cast!

96. Do the Right Thing

It is so easy to spot a Spike Lee film... Just look for the racism! Although Mr. Lee is a talented film-maker, very well rounded in all aspects... I have a hard time enjoying his work at all, considering I watched this movie 2 weeks ago, and this is all I can come up with as far as an opinion. Not worth my time. No eggs for you Spike!
